Democratic Take off and the people’s representatives in the pre-independence stage of Nadia

Now a day we the people of India enjoy every right offered by our democratic system of Government. It is very interesting to note that the democratic system in Pre-independence period was offered to us by the Britishers. The district Nadia of Bengal was such a place where every opportunity of such democratic right is to be used. As a result we see that the nominated council both in reserve and unreserved seats were selected from Nadia regularly. Here we try to investigate the people participation as well as awareness about democratic system in Pre- independence period
