Role of Parents and Teachers in the Growth and Development of Children

This paper focused on the importance of parents and teachers in the growth and development of children. The aim of life is also the all round development of personality of children. In family, all the members are responsible for the development in every aspect of life. Teachers are also helpful in shaping the future of children. They are called the second God of students. This study investigates the role of parents and teachers in overall growth and development of children of U.P. and ICSC Board schools. It includes the Physical, social, emotional, moral, aesthetic, linguistic and cognitive growth and development of children of U.P. and ICSE Board Schools. For this purpose self made inventory was used. It contains the different dimensions of the problems. 50 parents and 50 teachers were selected purposively as sample. Data were collected and analyzed to achieve the objectives. The result shows that there is no significant difference was found in physical development of student but significant difference was found in emotional, social, moral, aesthetic and linguistics development.
