WOMEN’S EMPOWERMENT: EDUCATION AS A TOOL FOR ACHIEVING EQUALITY

Women shared an equal status and enjoyed liberty and all societal sanctions with men in ancient days. Due to cross cultural effects the role of women has been declined. It is the need of hour to bridge this gap through education because it is one of the global needs in the areas of empowerment. Pt.Jawahar Lal Nehru Said that “If you educate a man you educate an individual, if you educate a woman you educate a whole family”. Itshows that the Education of women plays a vital role in the development of any nation. It helps not only in the development of nation but also improving the quality of life at home and outside. Women are nearly half of the human capital in the society. Women play many distinct and important roles in the society. Without women equal evolvement development process at every level will be not possible. Education is important for everyone. Education gives freedom to women from the clutches of inequalities. Education is a tool to reduce gender inequalities and share in decision making and contribution to national development. Educated women impact the whole family across the generations tremendously.References
