SKETCHES OF FEMININE SENSIBILITY IN THE WRITINGS OF KAMALA DAS
Abstract
“I am different; I am an entity”- Kamala DasKAMALA DAS is positioned among the ‘Academic Poets’ of twentieth century. She bags the place of being most audacious amongst them, especially in her protest against patriarchy and embracing of matrilineal culture with a romantic fervor, the exploration of female sexuality and sexual desires of women.
She writes in confrontational style and has a penchant for a shocking profusion of normally forbidden details in her vernacular writings. This quality of her writing established her as a potent new voice.
