Abstract

Quality of Work Life is a process in which organizations recognize their responsibility to develop job and working conditions that are excellent for the employee and organization. The concept of Quality of Work Life deals with the issue of how rewarding or satisfying the time spent in the workplace is. The educational organizations are one of the most important organizations of any nation as they oversee issues on the national agenda. Their effective functioning depends firmly on its coordination in the direction of societal expectation. The responsibility of meeting these expectations lies with the educational institutions. Colleges form the basis for transforming the students into the dutiful citizens. To think of colleges, without the Teaching and Non -Teaching employees is impossible as they have been the most vital factor of influence in the system of education, therefore the present study is an attempt to assess the perception of Teaching and Non- Teaching employees with respect to QWL. Data were collected through the scale of QWL and t-test was applied for data analysis with the help of SPSS. The study revealed significant difference between Teaching and Non-Teaching employees with respect to QWL.
