Library itself acts an social educational institution in terms of spreading knowledge ,ideas. Library and information science education involves education about the techniques, ethics and services of library ,at the same time it involves learning of various subject areas .In the due degree courses of LIS education educants learn only the estimated techniques of knowledge organisations and dissemination ,but as an efficient library professional they should update themselves in order to deliver proper library service to the society.This paper tries to find ou hte relation between LIS education and Lifelong learning and at the same time it tries to show that LIS education surely involves lifelong learning. LIS education :Factors involved: Todays world requires global person, interms of every service sectors. So on the globalisation ,Library and Information science surely has contributions in terms of building professionals who can respond in every subject field in atleast a very small way.LIS education gives ideas about how to organise a vast world of knowledge in a systematic way.The good thing about this knowledge organisation is,atleast is it helps easy accessibility of knowledge and makes easier to understand universe of subjects.
