PRACTICES OF BIO-FERTILIZER AND WASTE MANAGEMENT FOR SUSTAINABLE AGRICULTURE (A STUDY WITH SPECIAL REFERENCE TO VERMI-COMPOST JHARKHAND STATE OF INDIA)

.Abstract
A study was carried out in Ormanjhi block of Jharkhand state in India to examine as how effectively Self-Help Group (SHG) working in a village and the concept of sustainable development being practiced. To look at these, a Vermi-compost unit and recycling factory of waste paper were taken for the observational study. The empirical study was held in Ormanjhi and Chakla villages of Ormanjhi block of Jharkhand in India. All these three programs are monitored by an NGO, namely Nav Bharat Jagriti Kendra (NBJK). This study has also shown how this indigenous use of bio-fertilizers has captured the rural and urban markets. The full length paper has also shown a model of self help group (SHGs) which are effectively working for agricultural promotion and food security as well.
