नशा- विनाश की ओर बढ़ते कदम

अनुभूतियों और संवेदनाओं का केन्द्र मनुष्य का मस्तिष्क है। सुख-दुःख का , कष्ट-आनन्द का , सुविधा और अभावों का अनुभव मस्तिष्क को ही होता है तथा मस्तिष्क ही प्रतिकूलताओं को अनुकूलता में बदलने के जोड-तोड बिठाता हैं|कई व्यक्ति इन समस्याओं से घबड़ा कर अपना जीवन ही नष्ट कर डालते है । परन्तु अधिकाँश व्यक्ति जीवन से पलायन करने के लिए कुछ ऐसे उपाय अपनाता है, जैसे शुतुरमुर्ग आसन्न संकट को देखकर अपना सिर रेत में छुपा लेता है । इस तरह की पलायनवादी प्रवृतियों में मुख्य है मादक द्रव्यों की शरण में जाना । शराब ,गाँजा ,भाँग ,चरस ,अफीम ,ताडी आदि नशे वास्तविक जीवन से पलायन करने की इसी मनोवृति के परिचायक है। लोग इनकी शरण में या तो जीवन की समस्याओं से घवडा जाते है अथवा अपने संगी साथियों को देखकर इन्हें अपनाकर पहले से ही अपना मनोबल चौपट कर लेते है |
