Abstract

The study was conducted to find out parenting styles of adolescents with regard to Mothering Scores, Fathering scores and parenting scores. Mothering Scores, Fathering scores and parenting scores of adolescents were studied with respect to various demographic variables (gender, age, area, category). The study was conducted on the adolescents (16-19 age ) only. The study was confined to schools of Mohali district (Punjab, India) only. Tool on parenting styles by Bhardwaj, Sharma and Garg (1998) was used. Descriptive statistics such as Mean, Median, Mode, SD, Skewness Kurtosis, t-ratio, and Correlation were used.  Significant difference in the mothering , fathering and parenting scores of adolescents were found with respect to some of the demographic variables. Significant correlation was found between mothering, fathering and parenting scores.
