.Abstract
Water quality index is a number that describe the quality of water by integrating the water quality parameter. The main object of preparing WQI is to express the water quality for different beneficialusages. This work deal with the monitoring of variation of seasonal water quality index of some strategically selected water bodies. The index improves the comprehension of general water quality issue.Communicate the water quality status .It is found that in all the case the change in WQI value follow the similar trend throughout the study period. The lake water quality (WQI-302) during both seasons. However it is found that water quality of lake deteriorate slightly from winter to summer season on account of decrease of DO as well as increase in pollutant concentration due to water evaporation.
