SUGGESTIONS, VIEWS AND PERCEIVED DIFFICULTIES OF PRESENT TWO YEAR B.ED CURRICULUM

e.Abstract
Teacher-education must become more sensitive to the emerging demands of the school system. The changing reality of the school system and its emerging vision is significant point to be kept in focus while reformulating teacher –education curriculum. Schools have evolved into a widespread network of institutions functioning at different stages of education. The role of teachers appears to largely relate to day-to-day problems in the classroom and the attempts to deal with them. However, teachers have a significant role towards sustaining the education system and helping it to evolve and develop further. They actualize the development of knowledge, understanding, skill and competencies as well as value orientation in their students at each stage of education. Teachers at all stages have a role to play in actualizing aims of education and making the education process effective. But the recent change in the structure and strategies of B.Ed curriculum does not meet the needs of time, and the teacher education centers and educators felt some difficulties in implementing this curriculum. Alarm increase in the women candidate and decrease of male candidates, duration of school internship training programme and school academic progress, entry of students with low academic performance…etc will discuss in this paper.
