Abstract

This paper explains how Swami Vivekananda became a source of inspiration for Character Development among youth, during the freedom struggle of India; it witnesses the birth of many great souls. Ramakrishna and Vivekananda are among one of them.

Vivekananda realized Indian situation and he wished to overcome this through the glorious tradition of Vedic period. For that he gave importance to Education and it alone can solve Indian problems, that too Modern Education must be given in the line of Ancient tradition – based on moral values, character building, personality development, service to mankind and promotion of universal brotherhood.

Vivekananda, through his powerful writings and attractive speeches, he targeted the youth of India.   He believed the youth of India can alone save from her difficulties. No doubt, Youth of India was influenced by him with a great extent and, he was the personification of the harmony of all human energy.
