Role Of Information Technology (It) In Development Of Rural Gujarat

An Information Technology (IT) application is wide in all spheres whether it is urban or rural. Without IT connectivity in all geographical spheres in Gujarat state there is no Vibrant Gujarat dream come to true; it foster potential to different categories (i.e. caste, creed, religion, faith, status etc) ruralĀ peoples by using tools of knowledge sharing, resources sharing, services utilization, advance technologies renaissance etc. With the perspective of Gujarat about IT, application of IT in widespread is not so much appreciable compare to the neighboring states like Maharashtra and others. Therefore our concentration in this notes on the different applications areas of IT, emerging applications areas, and fundamental basic existing facilities in rural areas of Gujarat. We also discuss about some going on services in rural areas of Gujarat. Therefore, our focus on Gujarat state to make fully IT enabler for making self-reliant the rural areas people to connect the rest of the world.
