सुदूर संवेदन एवं भू-अवलोकन
Abstract
मुख्य विषय पर आने से पूर्व कुछ प्रश्न हमारे मस्तिष्क में आते हैं। क्या हम सामाजिक कल्याण की पर्याप्त उन्नति कर रहे है? क्या सतत आर्थिक विकास ह¨ रहा है? क्या हम पर्यावरण का संरक्षण कर रहे हैं। क्या हमें किसी निर्णय ल्¨ने के लिये उचित स्थान या घटना की उचित समय पर पर्याप्त सूचनायें प्राप्त ह¨ती है? किसी यंत्र्ा की भाँति इन उपलब्धिय¨ं क¨ प्राप्त करने के लिए भू-धरातलीय आंकड़¨ं अथवा सूचनाअ¨ं की नितान्त आवश्यकता ह¨ती है। भू-धरातलीय सूचनाअ¨ं की उपलब्धता क¨ हम पृथ्वी के धरातल का गहन रूप से विद¨हन कर सकते है। हम यह भी देखते हैं कि सारे संसार में यह चेतना बढ़ती जा रही है कि विश्वसीनय, विस्तृत, समयानुरूप आर्थिक पहुँच के य¨ग्य धरातलीय आँकड़े कैसे प्राप्त किये जा सकते हैं एवं उनकी समयानुकूल महत्ता क्या है? किसी प्रगति के लिए एवं उचित निर्णय ल्¨ने के लिये भू धरातलीय सूचनाअ¨ं का महत्व दिन प्रतिदिन पूरे संसार में बढ़ता जा रहा है। इसके साथ-साथ धरातलीय सूचनाअ¨ं केा प्राप्त करने वाली तकनीकी का भी महत्व बढ़ता जा रहा है। सूचना एवं संचार तकनीकी के त्वरित विकास से शीघ्र धरातलीय आँकड़¨ं की आवश्यकता का महत्त्व अ©र भी बढ़ता जा रहा है।
