ATTITUDES TOWARDS FEMALE WRITERS: A PAKISTANI PERSPECTIVE

Abstract

This paper reports the results of a small scale research study that aimed to investigate the attitude towards female writers of literature and their contribution in highlighting the plight of women in Pakistan. Gender difference and discrimination are found everywhere resulting inferiority to women in every field. Female authors have pinpointed these taboos prevailing in society. Through quantitative analysis it will be tried to cover the most important aspects relating to feminism described by the female writers. Data will be collected from different students through questionnaire. It is proposed that this study will help in understanding the basic issues regarding female population of Pakistani society.
