LIBRARY AUTOMATION AND DIGITIZATION STATUS OF PRIVATE TECHNICAL COLLEGES

Abstract
The present studies define the library automation and digitization status of Private Technical College Libraries (PTCL) in West Bengal. The methodology adopted for this studies researcher using survey method with structured questionnaire for collecting data. It was observed that 31% college libraries fully automated, 63% partially or taken initiative and 31% taken initiatives for creation of digitization of their libraries. But researcher tries to identify the infrastructure using by the libraries for the automation and digitization. The paper concluded with some suggestion about that matter.
