THE NANDI TRADITIONAL CONCEPT OF DEATH IN BIBLICAL PERSPECTIVE
Keywords:
Abstract
Death is a continuing experience for man wherever he is. As Christians we are also faced with death. The bible teaches some truths about death but still we find ourselves being influenced by our traditional worldview. This paper will attempt to explain the Nandi traditional understanding of death and evaluate it in the light of biblical teaching. It is hoped that the truths that will be discovered will help both the believers and the pastors to deal more biblically with the issue as they serve among the Nandi people. It is also hoped that those from other communities will find parallels of their own traditional worldviews in the Nandi traditional worldview and reflect on how they can apply the truths discussed in this paper to their own situations.
