A SURVEY ON DIETARY INTAKE AND EATING HABITS AMONG THE STUDENTS FROM THE REPUBLIC OF MOLDOVA

Abstract
The objective of the study was to examine the dietary intake and eating habits among 250 students aged between 18-29 years old from the University of Medicine and Pharmacy “Nicolae Testemițanu”. The research efforts included a participant questionnaire survey. According the data, the consumption of fruits among the students was very low. Also, in students’ daily menu were present such food products as bread, potato and cheese while other recommended products were consumed more frequently about 2-3 times per week. In these contexts, the majority of students didn’t have healthy eating habits and this factor could affect their health status.
