Abstract

Agricultural productivity worldwide is subjectto increasing environmental constraintsdue to their high magnitude of impact and wide distribution. Endophytic microorganisms are those which inhabitat the internal parts of plants, causing apparaently no visible changes to their hosts. An endopyhte is an endosymboint that lives in plant for least part of its life without causing apparent disease. In the present study twenty endophytic actinomycetes were isolated from thePisum sativum of Pipariya region Jabalpur.and further characterized for the PGPR activities. Root colonizing bacteria (rhizobacteria) that exert beneficial effects on plants have been defined as plant growth promoting rhizobacteria (PGPR).Out of twenty isolates only six found to be more sensitive to these test. The report presents isolated strain may have the potential for agricultural exploitation and could be use as a natural fertilizers.
