Abstract
Dr. B.R. Ambedkar was an Indian jurist, politician, philosopher, anthropologist, historian and economist. He inherited a society trampled from centuries and dehumanizes by the force of inequality and injustice and ruthlessly deprived of human rights. Ambedkarism as a political philosopher, has a great potential in mediating both liberal and communitarian traditions of the India. Ambedkarism is a process that leads the de-valued, de-Humanized and disempowered people from apathy to action, dependency to independency, from powerlessness to assertiveness, from ignorance to knowledge, from alienation to involvement and from manipulative to self-determination. In the contemporary society, Ambedkarism is facing a lot of challenges and problems in the absence of a strong leader or leadership. The paper aims to explore the political ideology of Ambedkarism and its relevance to the present context.References
