The banks having highest NPA as on March 31, 2015 has been selected from both the sectors. for the purpose of study. The need to research on this topic is felt from the critical problem of banks in non repayment of loans which results into a burden to banks called Nonperforming Assets. We have used ratio analysis as well as various statistical techniques such as average, Pearson’s correlation analysis. The study concluded that the average growth rate of NPA is lowest in case of public sector banks as compared to private sector banks.References
