A Review on Therapeutic Properties of Tinospora cordifolia
Abstract
Plants comprise solitary imperative sources of medicines since the establishment of human evolution. Present is a growing demand for plant based medicines, health products, pharmaceuticals, food supplements, cosmetics etc. A review of some Biological constituents present in commonly occurred medicinal plant in various parts like Tinospora cordifolia. Tinospora cordifolia, is a usually used shrub in Ayurvedic drug. Although the review articles on these plants are already published, this review article is presented to meet all the updated information on its phyto-chemical and Biological activities. The notable medicinal properties are anti-diabetic, anti-spasmodic, anti-malarial, anti-inflammatory, anti-arthritic, anti-oxidant, anti-allergic, anti-stress, anti-leprotic, hepatoprotective, immunmodulatory & anti-neoplastic activities.References
