Abstract

Requirement Engineering (RE) is the key phase of software development. It is a process to collect good requirements from stakeholders in the disciplined way. The responsibility of every software company is to provide the software solutions as per the customer need. Therefore, RE process become complex and important, that considers product demands from a vast number of viewpoints, roles, responsibilities, and objectives. In this paper, we have designed a Framework for Effective Requirements Engineering Process (FEREP) model to produce quality requirements for software development. Requirement management phase is used independently for an effective management of customers requirements. It is evolutionary in nature for better requirement engineering and later maintenance. The successful adoption of FEREP can have a good impact on the production of quality software products.
