Abstract

Steel fibre and fly ash are common additives that can improve concrete performance. The aim of study was to measure compressive strengths of concrete of M30 grade with different steel fibre percentages and fly ash percentages. Concrete specimens with fibre contents of 0.5, 1.0 and 1.5 % by weight were tested. Fly ash contents in mixes ranged between 0 to 15% by weight. Ninety concrete cubes prepared. A hydraulic testing machine was used to measure the compressive strength of each block. The result of this study confirmed that the additions of steel fibre and fly ash have improved the compressive strength of concrete.
