Social Work Students Knowledge and Attitude towards Medical Social Work Profession

Social work is became a profession as it have its own knowledge bank and way of scientific practices. People in this profession are working in different settings like Hospital, NGO’s and community etc. The knowledge and the practices of social work profession is widen day by day. Medical and psychiatry social work is a very important field of social work practices. Social Worker are working in hospital setting with doctors and Para medical staff to provide help and social work services for the welfare of patients as well as care givers and community. The field of medical social work is very wide and continuously changing in India. There are many misconceptions, confusion, hope and carrier challenges regarding medical social work in students. Hence, the present paper aims to find out and analyze the knowledge, misconception and attitude of Master of Social Work students towards medical social work profession.
