Research 2.0 is a buzz word and a critical component in research management.This Article describes how Web 2.0 technologies can help researchers to formulate research and make it easy, within simplified procedure without taking time unlike the traditional ways of taking research. Discussion have been made about different technology and tools which can be helpful for research starting form citation management tool to indexing of keywords , online surveys and reference management tools. The Paper discusses the potential of the Web 2.0 environment for conducting both qualitative and quantitative research. The term web 2.o coined by Tim O'Reilly, provide a useful technologies in shaping the generation Y of research methodologies. The paper Examine how web 2.0 tools can be applied in qualitative and quantitative research and issues pertaining research 2.0.
