Need For Change In Higher Examination System
Keywords:
Examination procedure, Paper preparation, ScoringAbstract
This paper is the one of the original thinking of the author. We all know the present situation of examination in higher education. It is believed that university examinations are very easy to score high marks. Repeated questions of previous examinations in papers and traditional type evaluation are often seen. Syllabus is not revised in most of the universities and higher educational institutions. So it is very easy to guess the questions by students as well as teachers. Examination related problems and issues are discussed in this paper. Subjectivity in scoring and question pattern is also one of the big challenges. Lack of training in preparation of papers and assessment answer book is seen in present day. Subject expert is needed in evaluation but it is not seriously taken by authorities. Mass copying is very serious issue in university examination also. It resulted a general marks to most of the students. One another thing is that only external examination score is not everything and predict about student’s future. There are a lot of things which affects the student’s scores so it cannot be the true parameter of knowledgeReferences
