A Study on Student Progression through Effective Teaching & Learning
Abstract
ablished in the year 2006 by a Registered Society 'Shaheed Hemi Kalani Educational Society', Bhopal Sant Hirdaram Girls College is a private unaided, self-financing, multi faculty girl’s college which has earned social recognition & academic reputation in a short span of 8 years. Excellent physical infrastructure, competent teaching faculty, equipped science laboratories, rich library and transparent management make this institution unique in number of ways. The college aim to provide qualitatively high level of teaching learning ambience to its students so that the mission of the college to 'Empower Women through Quality' education is accomplished. Just to assess whether the prevalent teaching learning evaluation system of the college is able to improve the performance of students on a regular basis, a small Pilot-Study was planned. 100 students were identified on random basis belonging to different faculties, Arts, Science & Commerce. The students were from different socio economic cultural background and had only one parameter in common that they have scored less than 60% marks in their class XII examination. This was taken as their entry point performance when they took admission in the college in UG Ist Year. These marks were taken as the performance bench mark of the students as class XII is an important exam and students as well as parents are particular about their exam outcomeReferences
