Keywords:

Agriculture is an important sector for our economy as a contributor to GDP as well as provider of employment to around fifty thousand people. In India agriculture sector suffers from lack of capital and finance and we know is most important for any sector to thrive. Thus in our current work we try to look how rural credit affects the performance of agriculture sector. We use regression analysis to test the relationship between rural credit and agriculture output. Our work shows that rural credit indeed has an impact on output via input provision. We also check whether there is any change in relationship between the two over a period of time and we actually see it.
