Abstract

Rama Mehta (1923-1978), born in Nainitaal was the first Indian women to be appointed to India’s Foreign services. She was an established lecturer, sociologist and an acclaimed novelist. This novel celebrates her writing and the indian womanhood which is significant of the advent of modernism with shades of tradition.
