Abstract

The term ‘Master’ is first used by the Theosophical Society as a synonym for the term ‘Spiritual Leader’ or the Sanskrit terms- ‘Sadhguru’, ‘Rishi’ or ‘Mahatma’- which mean a ‘Perfect man’ who can lead people on the path of light. There is no equal term in English language for the Sanskrit terms.
