Abstract

Gender Inequality has always been of great concern for nations because it leads not only to social loss but is also an economic loss for a nation in conjoint to the deplorable condition of females.

This paper aims to explain the concept gender inequality, causes and types of gender inequality in India, global indices and statistics of India on gender inequality, and briefly discusses the Legal and Constitutional Safeguards against Gender Inequality.
