Abstract

In India more than 70% population are living in village, which is major stockholder for GDP and economic growth of a country. The government introduces many programs to improve the livelihood of the villages in India, out of these programs rural electrification also a main challenge for government of India. The rural electrification is playing main role for development of socio-economic conditions in the villages. In this paper we are discussing the major challenges and gaps for rural electrification and the major steps for improving the electricity for every household in India from renewable energy sources in off grid mode.
