Abstract

Teachers are the pillars of the society and therefore the standard of education depends on their knowledge, ability and skills. The research study was based on the private school women teachers towards the savings and Investment behaviour in Indore city, Madhya Pradesh. The vital issue lies on their life vogue and it greatly influenced by the consumption pattern, savings and investments. Thus, the behaviour of the teacher towards the savings and investment will have nice impact on the quality education. The aim of the study was to work out the connection between the savings and investments attainment among the private school especially for women teachers. The study was done on the various private school teachers in Indore. The study also focuses on the relationship between savings and investments. The data was collected by distributing a structured questionnaire to private school teachers in different schools of Indore City. In spite of low income, the women teachers have been saving for future needs. The major impact on savings is due to the level of income of the women teachers in private schools. The analysis shows that majority of the respondents are saving money as Bank deposits for the protection of the future. The major alternatives of investment are Bank deposits and the main purpose of investment is for children education, marriage, and safety after retirement.
